"If the plan doesn't work, change the plan but never the goal"
21st July 2021
It's been quite a bumpy 15 months since I first booked a sky dive to raise money for Willen Hospice back in March 2020.
The first plan of jumping on my 40th birthday weeks later was cancelled due to Covid.
The new plan of jumping on what would have been my Dad's 70th in October was cancelled due to unsuitable weather.
The third plan of jumping on mothers day in March this year was cancelled due to lockdown.
So here we are - plan number 4 - to jump on the 2nd anniversary of losing mum, Sunday 25th July 2021.
The goal certainly hasn't changed throughout this time: I set out to raise £500 for Willen Hospice who cared for both my parents towards the end of their lives and I've been blown away by the support and generosity that has not only helped me achieve my goal but smash it. I sincerely hope Sunday is the day I get to finally blow my parents a kiss at 13,000 feet before floating down to my family on the ground. Fingers firmly crossed!
